San Diego’s expert certified Overnight Postpartum Doula support!

Jenn Smith, the owner and founder of Goodnight Bloom Doula, has been a dedicated member of the doula community for nearly 20 years. Her journey began with a deep passion for birth work, initially aspiring to become a home birth midwife. Her first venture, Light in The Womb Birth Services, showcased her commitment as a certified birth doula, HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator, and Placenta Specialist. Over the years, Jenn has had the privilege of supporting hundreds of families as they welcomed their new babies.

In 2017, after the birth of her youngest child and while juggling the needs of her three daughters, Jenn faced the challenging reality of navigating the postpartum period without adequate support. Her personal experience with postpartum depression, coupled with research highlighting the critical role of sleep in preventing mood disorders, spurred her to focus on the fourth trimester and family sleep health.

To better assist families during this crucial time, Jenn earned her Postpartum Doula certification with DONA and later achieved dual certification with CAPPA. She also holds certifications as a Lactation Educator, New Parent Educator, and Sleep Specialist, in addition to her existing credentials in birth work and placenta encapsulation. Jenn's commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth reflects her dedication to providing comprehensive support to families in San Diego and its surrounding areas. By collaborating with a network of skilled and experienced doulas, Jenn aims to extend her reach and impact, ensuring that more families receive the support they need during the transformative early days of parenthood.
